Handy Gloves Holder
Gloves holderA convenient way to keep the rubber gloves you use to empty the holding tanks handy and dry is to clip them together with a spring binder clamp. The clamped glove then can be hung from a screw placed into a wall or door of an outside storage or utilities compartment. The clamps are available at office supply or retail stores for less than $1.

Motorhome Steps Protection
Reflective tape for motorhome steps protectionI was concerned that, in the darkness, someone would hit my motorhome’s entry steps when they were down. I purchased reflective tape at an auto parts supply store, cut it into strips, and applied the tape to the sides of the steps.

Reusing Prescription Containers
Instead of throwing away the small bottles that your prescription medication comes in, you can reuse the containers when the pills are gone as carry-along medical information vials.
On a printed form “” make your own or obtain from hospitals, doctors, or health fairs “” include the following information: your name and address; your doctor’s name and telephone number (make sure to include the area code); a list of prescription medication you are taking; any medication that has caused an allergic reaction; major health care needs (dialysis, heart conditions, the arm that your vital signs should be taken from); health insurance information (HMO, Medicare, private carrier); donor information and where to find it on your driver’s license; and emergency contacts. On the outside of the vial, attach a label that includes your name and address; the words “medical emergency vial” or “emergency care”; your doctor’s name and telephone number; and the date you last updated the information inside.
I carry a vial for everyone in the family in each of our vehicles, as well as in our carry-on luggage when flying, and in my purse. I also store individual vials in the refrigerator and post an alert on the exterior of the refrigerator door as to its location inside. Make sure to update the information included in the vial on a regular basis and note the date on the outer label.

Screen Door Handle
Screen door handleWhen we purchased our previous motorhome, we found that the screen door was awkward to open or close when it was hooked to the main door. The slide handle always seemed to be left open or closed when we needed it in the other position. We installed a handle (a cupboard or drawer handle) to the screen door’s sliding opening cover. The handle works well when opening or closing the screen door alone or with both doors in tandem. The handle is inexpensive, looks nice, and works great.
