“Ultimate Prevost Adventure” Hits Las Vegas In November
Prevost Car Inc., C632, based in Sainte-Claire, Quebec, Canada, has announced the first-ever Ultimate Prevost Adventure for Prevost owners and motorhome enthusiasts. The event is scheduled to take place November 13 through 16, 2005, at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The rally is designed as a fantastic vacation experience, complete with top-notch service, great food, fabulous entertainment and activities, and seminars galore. A single admission fee entitles participants to pick and choose most of the activities that interest them as they set their own schedules and vacation their own way. Most activities will take place right on-site, so very little time will be spent shuttling from one place to another.
Organizers have assembled a stellar entertainment lineup, including a gala dinner with a special appearance by a multitalented entertainer whose successful career has brought international fame as a performer and recording artist. Other events include a lighthearted fashion show with Prevost employees serving as runway models. Prevost clothing will be for sale in a special boutique.
The event also will include a series of seminars and displays geared especially to Prevost travelers. Scheduled topics include cooking on the road, stock market and investment information, service question-and-answer sessions, and many more. And of course, there will be special focus on Prevost conversions, such as how to use and make the most of conversions, information about the Prevost on-road assistance program, and test drives.
Participating Prevost coach conversion companies will be on hand to showcase new and preowned Prevost vehicles. Prevost owners groups, such as FMCA’s Prevost Prouds chapter, also will be there to share their experiences and to talk about the different activities offered in their clubs. In addition, key figures in the history of the company will be in attendance to liven up the festive atmosphere even more.
Prevost owners and enthusiasts will not want to miss this one-of-a-kind rally, with its exciting lineup of events and activities and the chance to catch up with old friends and experience the Prevost lifestyle. Reserved motorhome parking and hotel rooms are available.

Workhorse Acquired By International Truck Shortly After Achieving Production Milestone
GVW Holdings Corporation announced that it has agreed to sell Workhorse Custom Chassis, C8291, to International Truck and Engine Corporation, operating company of Navistar International Corporation. The acquisition agreement was signed July 1 and was expected to be completed within 30 to 90 days. Also included in the sale was Uptime Parts, which supplies replacement and aftermarket parts for the RV, truck, and bus markets that Workhorse serves.
The announcement came one month after Workhorse marked a major milestone at its Union City, Indiana, manufacturing facility when the 100,000th chassis rolled off its production line. The company, which began manufacturing operations in 1999, produces the P Series and W Series gasoline-powered chassis and the R Series diesel-powered platform for motorhomes, in addition to chassis for other markets. Among those attending the celebration were representatives from Winnebago Industries Inc., C93, the largest customer of Workhorse platforms, who received the 100,000th chassis.
International Truck and Engine will provide management oversight, strategy, and administration for Workhorse and Uptime Parts, but both companies will operate as independent and wholly owned subsidiaries. They will retain their present management structure and reportedly there are no plans to reorganize, reduce, or relocate facilities or staff. Workhorse products will continue to be sold through Workhorse-certified up-fitters and dealers and marketed under the Workhorse brand.
International Truck and Engine manufactures International brand commercial trucks, mid-range diesel engines, and school buses, and is a private label designer and manufacturer of diesel engines for the pickup truck, van, and SUV markets. The acquisition of Workhorse provides the company with an opportunity to expand its reach into the RV and the Class 2 to 5 commercial markets and complement its existing products and markets.
Couple Creates Web Site For “Hip” RVers
Wally Brill and Rina Neiman, F327514, two urban professionals who left good jobs in San Francisco, California, for life on the road in a 35-foot motorhome, have developed a Web site designed to reflect the style of a younger RVing generation, www.mobilelifestyle.com.
Although the couple immediately fell in love with the full-timing lifestyle, they were disappointed with the lack of cool things to use and wear in their RV. So they created a Web site that includes information and products intended to meet this need. The shopping section includes a housewares and appliances link with useful items such as a mini portable dishwasher, a set of plastic collapsing vases (they won’t break and are easy to store), and unbreakable wine glasses made with the same material used in bulletproof glass. The site also includes a bookstore link with RV-related books and videos, as well as mobilelifestyle.com’s exclusive line of RV-themed hats, T-shirts, mugs, teddy bears, and more.
The site also features a wealth of information discovered by the couple during their journey into full-timing, such as how they purchased their towed vehicle, connectivity while on the road, and a list of RVing tips.
