FMCA, Passport America Alliance

October 1, 2005

By Vernon Simmons
President/CEO, Passport America
September 2005

It gives me great honor and pride to announce a continuing alliance between the Family Motor Coach Association and Passport America. Passport America and FMCA have supported one another over the years in this great industry by offering FMCA members the opportunity to become Passport America members, and thus receive some of the best campground discounts available.

Throughout history, great alliances have created new realms of possibility. The FMCA and Passport America alliance is no exception. By collaborating to offer benefits and discounts that will help our members enjoy the RVing lifestyle at a fraction of the cost, FMCA and Passport America are helping to create exciting experiences and memories for camping families across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

With two devoted industry leaders and one exceptional alliance, our companies combine the experience, energy, and talent of two organizations with complementary strengths.

The purpose of FMCA, founded in 1963, is to organize social activities, share motorhome information, and supply numerous benefits. These benefits, like the Passport America alliance, are made possible in part by collective purchasing.

Passport America, founded in 1992, is the original 50 percent discount camping club. Its purpose is to provide camping enthusiasts 50 percent off the nightly rates at participating campgrounds across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This year Passport America has more than 1,300 campgrounds participating in the Passport America program, and we are growing weekly.

FMCA and Passport America share a foremost goal: to foster camaraderie and friendships gained by people who enjoy common interests in travel and recreation. Our respective members place great value on family travels. It seems only natural for our two companies to form an alliance.

FMCA members who are not currently Passport America members should be on the lookout for a special offer from Passport America that will arrive in the mail soon. It explains how you can join Passport America at a reduced rate. Or, check out the advertisement that appears on page 61 of this issue of Family Motor Coaching. Banners on our Web sites also connect to information about the many discounts and benefits available to FMCA members who join Passport America.

Share our pride, excitement, and commitment as we continue to help enable our members to create exciting camping and traveling experiences throughout North America.

May your travels bring you joy and blessings along the way.
