The January issue of Family Motor Coaching always includes updated information regarding the many benefits and services available to members of the Family Motor Coach Association. I hope you are aware of them all. I encourage you to look over the list that follows and consider reading further in the “Member Benefits Guide” section about those that you’re not familiar with, or those that may be of use to you in the future. I have highlighted in bold italic type the benefits that are provided to you at no cost as a family member of FMCA, just by paying your annual membership dues. Some others involve participation costs, such as rally registration fees, or the price of postage you pay when using FMCA’s mail forwarding service.
I also want to draw your attention to new member benefits that started during 2005. FMCA has partnered with Long Term Care Insurance Planners in order to bring this type of insurance to the membership at a discounted group rate. FMCA also has worked with AFLAC to bring the AFLAC insurance programs to the membership at a discounted rate. And FMCA added an Identity Theft Protection Plan to the benefits menu. Called Privacy Matters, this plan is one of the most comprehensive identity theft protection plans available, and it is offered to FMCA members at about half its retail price.
In 2006 FMCA will add a new credit card program that provides rebates or rewards to members as they make their purchases. FMCA also is working with MEDEX, the provider of FMCA’s emergency medical evacuation program, to give members the opportunity to purchase TravMed Abroad “” Worldwide Emergency Assistance and Medical Insurance for Americans Traveling Outside of the United States (offering medical and evacuation coverage in areas not covered by FMCA’s Emergency Medical Evacuation Program).
As always, this issue of Family Motor Coaching contains the Business Directory “” a roster of FMCA’s commercial members. This year’s listing includes more than 100 additional campgrounds that recently joined FMCA. Some commercial members extend discounts on their services to family members, so you will especially want to make note of this listing.
In all, I think you’ll agree that the list of benefits available to you as an FMCA member is pretty impressive. I urge you to take advantage of all the ways you can enjoy your association membership in this new year.
