The potential number of coaches involved is 1,228.
Affected motorhomes fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 108, “Lamps, Reflective Devices, And Associated Equipment.” The side marker lights in the combination headlight and taillight assemblies do not meet the minimum photometric values specified in the standard. The inadequacy of the front and rear side marker lights could affect visibility of the motorhome during the hours of darkness, which could potentially result in a crash.
Dealers will place the marker lights on the side of each motorhome as close as reasonable to the front and rear corners and wire them into the park light system. The repair is expected to take approximately two hours. However, because of service scheduling times, the service center may need the vehicle for a longer time period.

Monaco Coach Corporation has announced two separate NHTSA recalls.
The first is recall 08V07000, which affects some 2006 and 2007 Holiday Rambler Endeavor and Monaco Diplomat motorhomes built from January 24, 2005, through March 30, 2007. The potential number of coaches involved is 1,877.
On the affected motorhomes, a drive motor link in the windshield wiper system could become disengaged from the wiper arm. Should this occur, the wiper system would fail to work, causing the operator to have reduced visibility, which could potentially result in a crash.
Dealers will replace the under-the-hood wiper system, reusing the wiper arm and blades. The repair is expected to take 45 minutes. However, because of service scheduling times, the service center may need the vehicle for a longer time period.
Owner notification began in March 2008.
The second is recall 08V098000, which affects some 2006 and 2007 Holiday Rambler Scepter and Monaco Camelot motorhomes built from August 4, 2005, through June 5, 2006. The potential number of coaches involved is 139.
On affected motorhomes, the rubber liquid propane (LP) hose on the back of the refrigerator may have an extra length of hose. This extra hose should have been pulled back by the main house connection and secured. This extra hose potentially can be damaged by heat from the burner tube if the hose comes in contact with the burner flue. If the hose is in contact with the burner flue for an extended period of time, the hose can melt, causing an LP leak with the possibility of a fire.
Dealers will inspect the refrigerator compartment for excess LP hose. If the hose is not damaged, it will be secured with a clamp away from the burner flue. If the hose shows any sign of melting or fatigue, it will be replaced. The repair is expected to take approximately 10 to 90 minutes, depending on the inspection and repair. However, because of service scheduling times, the service center may need the vehicle for a longer time period.
Owner notification began in March 2008.
