Recall Corner: June 2011

June 1, 2011

Fleetwood RV Inc. has announced NHTSA recall 11V192000 (Fleetwood recall 110318FRV), which affects 2011 model-year Discovery, Providence, and Revolution LE Type A motorhomes built from November 5, 2010, through February 5, 2011. The potential number of motorhomes involved is 98.

On the affected motorhomes, the internal circuit board of the ITC-brand dimmer switch that controls the interior lighting can fail and overheat. Overheating of the dimmer switch can result in personal injury or discomfort should an individual touch the dimmer switch during the failure.

A Fleetwood RV dealer will remove the existing ITC-brand dimmer switch and replace it with a different dimmer switch. The repair is expected to take approximately 30 minutes. However, because of service scheduling times, the service department may need the vehicle for a longer time period.

For more information, contact Fleetwood RV at (800) 509-3418. Owner notification was expected to begin in April 2011.
