Everyone can dream, as the old saying goes. When it comes to motorhoming, what could help you enjoy the lifestyle even more? That’s the topic addressed this month via the question:

If money were no object, what one item or feature would you like to add to your motorhome?

***

If money were no object, our kids would want their own campground under our motorhome. Because they meet so many children from different parts of the country, they think it would be great to own a campground and be able to stay in one spot to enjoy more time with newfound friends. Dad and Mom think it would be great also.

Our 2006 Safari Cheetah had everything on our wish list, and then some. There is only one thing I would love to change today: get rid of the light-colored carpet and tile and install wood-grained vinyl. No more worry of cracking a tile when something is dropped. It would be so nice to sweep the dirt out the door, and I could get rid of the vacuum. Spills and mud tracked in could be wiped up. Being full-timers would be so much easier!

Our motorhome is not big and fancy, but I feel we have everything in it that we need. As we get older, I would like to have a chauffeur who would take over the driving and trip planning and take us wherever we wanted to go. Then my husband, Erv, and I could both sit back and enjoy the scenery while we see the country and leave the driving to someone else.

We have a 19-foot Roadtrek, which gets 15 mpg and has all of the features we need and like. We love to travel, especially to visit our children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who are scattered throughout the United States. However, these days we are on a tight budget, and with the price of gas, this has become impossible. If money were no object, we would like an endless supply of gas.

Because of bad health, my husband, Ed, has not been able to drive and set up our motorhome. Gas prices have made a difference also. Therefore, the motorhome has mostly sat for a year or two, other than a few short trips we’ve taken in and around our area in Florida. If money were no object, I would like to add a driver who we could afford to put up in a motel while we enjoyed our stay in our motorhome.

Future questions:

1. What’s the top activity/place to visit on your motorhome “bucket list”?

2. What book, movie, play, or TV show title best describes motorhome travel? Why?
