Lazydays Reaches Milestones During 2011
Lazydays has experienced a year of growth and expansion in 2011, including a new RV-style restaurant and a new Tucson, Arizona, location.
Earlier this year, Lazydays opened the Exit 10 Restaurant & Pub at its Tampa, Florida, campus. Exit 10 is a perfectly scaled 80-foot-long Type A motorhome with full-body paint, fully extended slideouts, and a menu filled with RV-themed eats such as “Diesel Pusher Wings” and “Road Pizza.”
Also in 2011, Lazydays opened its new location in Tucson, giving guests a place to call home in the Southwest as well as in the Southeast. The 82-acre Tucson facility includes an RV sales center, a service facility, and a campground. At press time, finishing touches were being put on the sales center, which resembles a hacienda-style town and features a refurbished 1976 Jeep pulling a 1948 Teardrop trailer. There’s an About Lazydays room; an Arizona Destinations room; a children’s play area; and an on-site restaurant, Florizona Grille. Like the Florida location, the Tucson facility will offer RV-related seminars and an RV driver’s confidence course.
On September 3, both Lazydays locations celebrated “Florizona Day,” designed to represent Florida and Arizona cultures. Festivities took place at both locations, including a ribbon-cutting ceremony held at the Tucson location and simulcast to the crowd in Tampa. The official grand opening for Lazydays in Tucson will take place December 10 and 11, 2011.
Also in 2011, the employee-sponsored Lazydays Employee Foundation has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to help at-risk children. “We strongly believe in being of service to others, and we know that while individually the impact we could make is minimal, together we can accomplish great things,” said Lazydays CEO John Horton. The Lazydays Employee Foundation supports the Lazydays House at A Kid’s Place; funds the Lazydays Center for Youth Development; and contributes to local charities, including the R.I.C.H. House in Tampa, an after-school hangout to keep neighborhood children safe and off the streets. The Tucson Lazydays Employee Foundation will be lending a helping hand to the Tucson community as well.

Winnebago Industries Launches Online Parts Catalog
Winnebago Industries has launched Winnebago Industries Interactive Parts (WIP), an online, cutting-edge, 3D interactive electronic parts catalog designed to make researching and ordering parts faster and more accurate.
The company has integrated its mainframe systems, 3D viewer, and shipper’s Web sites for tracking purposes. The WIP system includes an 80-million-part database to support the Web-based search capabilities of its dealers, which is expected to greatly improve the parts-ordering experience.
The WIP system provides dealers with multiple means for researching and ordering parts. Dealers can search by model, serial or part number (or partial part number), color, or description. Once a part is identified, dealers will instantly know the price and availability, allowing them to provide an estimate to a customer or to place an order by adding it to their online shopping cart. Company officials believe the visual and interactive technology used in the system will help dealers improve productivity and assure that they get the right part ordered the first time, thereby creating customer satisfaction.
