Recall Corner: June 2014

June 1, 2014

Winnebago Industries Inc. has announced NHTSA recall 14V121000, which involves model-year 2014 Itasca Viva!, 2014-15 Winnebago Travato, and 2014 Winnebago Trend motorhomes built on the Ram ProMaster chassis. The potential number of motorhomes involved is 198.

On the affected motorhomes, if the accelerator pedal is pushed downward at a certain angle, the pedal may get stuck in the wide-open throttle position as a result of interference with the accelerator. A stuck accelerator could result in uncontrolled acceleration, increasing the risk of a crash.

Chrysler has notified owners, and dealers will replace the accelerator pedal stopper with a larger one. For more information about this recall, contact Winnebago Industries at (800) 537-1885. Owner notification began in March 2014.
