Concealed Control Panel
Easy access to a motorhome’s control center is a necessity. However, a panel located at eye level on an interior wall detracts from the coach’s décor. To beautify the area, we hung a hollow-backed piece of artwork over the panel using hooks that don’t cause wall damage (in this case, 3M Command brand). The cover-up looks great, and our control center is still easily accessible.

Makeshift Safety Lights
The idea for these campsite safety lights came to me after tripping over awning tie-down anchors once too often. Being an avid coffee drinker, I save creamer containers for a variety of uses. To convert them to safety lights, rinse out several containers, remove the labels, and fill each container about one-third with sand. Drop an activated glow stick into each one. Set the containers at the base of tie-downs, tent stakes, or any camping-related trip-and-fall hazard to improve safety and provide a pleasant glow.

Wheel Covers
For quick and easy wheel covers, we purchased extra-large windshield shades, which we found for about $14 each at a retail store. We open them and place them in the motorhome’s wheel wells to protect the tires from the sun while parked.
