Don't you just love holidays? Those special days set aside on the calendar to remind us of the events, people, activities, or accomplishments that we are encouraged to commemorate and celebrate in various ways as a nation and as individuals. We purchased a new motorhome in 2013 that, unlike our old coach, did not have an inverter. We have a 1998 motorhome with an Airxcel air conditioner and a Coleman-Mach thermostat. The thermostat controls — low, high, and automatic fan — work fine. We are able to turn the unit off with the thermostat. The system cools and heats fine. Our problem is the unit will not turn off by itself no matter what temperature we set. What is the problem?At a discount store, I spent $4 for four silver-colored sun shades, which came with suction cups. Each shade is 51 inches by 24 inches. They overlap to completely cover my windshield, and they are easy to install.When the Gulf Coasters chapter holds a rally, it officially runs from Friday to Sunday, although members typically start arriving on Wednesday. Amid the bayous and crawfish, members of the GMC Motorhomes International chapter of FMCA gathered at the Patterson Civic Center and Kemper Williams Park in Patterson, Louisiana, from March 27 to April 2, 2015, to celebrate the unique motorhome and enjoy the hospitality of southern Louisiana. The chapter’s convention attracted more than 90 GMC motorhomes.Seaside traditions and historical homes make this South Carolina city a popular destination.
