The Coaches for Christ – South Central chapter had a banner year in 2015. Our 10th anniversary rally was October 10-14, 2015, in Conroe, Texas.
The chapter formed in Hutchinson, Kansas, in September 2004 with 19 charter families. Membership now exceeds 30 families.
The chapter is open to all FMCA members who desire Christian fellowship, prayer support, and spiritual encouragement. In the process, we have a huge amount of fun and food at our two annual rallies. One is held in the spring; the other occurs before or after the annual Six-State Rally. Our members are encouraged to be ambassadors as members in other chapters.
We have a strong relationship with FMCA. Our chapter has served three times as Six-State Rally hosts, and we also have helped another area’s Coaches for Christ chapter by serving as joint hosts in their area. Gifts and assistance to many charities represent our heart of missions and service. Many of our chapter members have the privilege of serving as officers and cadre within the Six-State organization. Since our beginning, we also have supported the morning devotionals at each Six-State Rally as well as at FMCA’s Family Reunions.
Some people find encouragement by signing up for the chapter’s eConnection. Everyone who provides their name and email address is kept current on prayer requests as well as Coaches for Christ happenings.
At our 10th anniversary rally, Rod Sartwell, who is now FMCA’s national vice president, South Central Area, presented the chapter with a 10-year certificate. In addition, a plaque was presented to George and Darline Archer for 10 years of service as chapter president. Also, R.G. and Jeri Wilson were recognized. It was because of their vision that Coaches for Christ got its start.
If you desire Christian fellowship, the opportunity for spiritual growth, and lots of fun and fellowship, you will find a warm welcome in Coaches for Christ – South Central. For information, contact chapter president Frank Taber at frank.taber@cox.net.
