What’s great about the beach is that the really important stuff — Sun! Sand! Water! — is already there. You just need to bring a few items, including a blanket.
The Sand Escape Beach Blanket is made of machine-washable parachute nylon. The blanket stores away compactly in an integrated compression stuff sack. When you’re ready to catch some rays, just spread out the 9-foot-by-7-foot blanket and anchor it by filling the corner pockets with sand. Personal items can be stored in a snap pocket. Scratch Remover
A new do-it-yourself product from 3M, the Trizact Precision Scratch Kit, was developed to remove scuffs and scratches from a vehicle’s exterior paint. It uses abrasive technology that won’t damage the base paint, according to the product description.
The three-step process involves removing scratches and scuffs in the clear coat by attaching the Trizact Scratch Pad to a drill; refining and buffing the surface using 3M Rubbing Compound; and finishing the job with 3M Scratch Remover. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price for the kit is $19.99.

Wash Bucket Insert
When you wash your motorhome or towed vehicle, the soapy water in the bucket becomes clouded by dirt and debris. And yet, many of us continue to dunk the wash mitt in that dirty water. That can lead to scratches and swirls on the finish.
The Cyclone Dirt Trap Car Wash Bucket Insert, from Chemical Guys, was developed to reduce such damage by trapping dirt and debris at the bottom of the bucket and away from your vehicle’s paint job. The round insert fits snugly at the bottom of a standard 12-inch-diameter bucket. The insert’s nearly 300 cyclone funnels rely on centripetal force to separate the dirt and push it through tiny holes under the wash screen. The price is $9.99.

Battery Disconnect
Oh, how we dread a chassis battery that’s dead. Battery Doctor, a division of WirthCo Engineering, has a product that aims to prevent that situation: the Battery Life Preserver Automatic Battery Disconnect Switch.
Once the switch is installed, the engine battery can be connected or disconnected via a wireless remote control. If you forget to disconnect the battery, the Battery Life Preserver does it for you. It automatically monitors the battery and disconnects it at 12 volts so there’s enough power to start the vehicle. The Battery Life Preserver can be installed with top-mount and side-mount batteries, and it does not require any cables to be cut. The Battery Life Preserver sells for approximately $130 at various online retailers.
