Entegra Coach

Recall 17V-384 involves certain model-year 2012-2015 Cornerstone motorhomes built on Spartan Motors chassis and manufactured from April 14, 2011, to May 6, 2014. A component within the starter motor may break, potentially resulting in the starter motor overheating or drawing excessive current. Entegra will notify owners, and Spartan Motors will replace the starter. The recall was expected to begin August 18, 2017. Contact Spartan at (800) 543-4277 or Entegra at (800) 517-9137.

Forest River Inc.

Recall 17V-396 involves certain model-year 2014-2015 Coachmen RV Encounter and 2014-2018 Coachmen RV Mirada Select motorhomes equipped with the residential refrigerator option instead of the standard refrigerator. The unused, but powered, wiring for the standard refrigerator was left with exposed wire ends. If the energized positive and negative wires make contact, the wires may short circuit and possibly melt, increasing the risk of a fire. Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will disconnect the positive and negative wires from the battery. The recall was expected to begin August 21, 2017. Contact Forest River at (574) 825-8212.

Newmar Corporation

Recall 17V-378 involves certain model-year 2012-2015 King Aire and Essex motorhomes built on Spartan Motors chassis and manufactured from January 27, 2011, to June 23, 2014. A component within the starter motor may break, potentially resulting in the starter motor overheating or drawing excessive current. Newmar will notify owners, and Spartan Motors will replace the starter. The recall was expected to begin August 13, 2017. Contact Spartan at (800) 543-4277 or Newmar at (800) 731-8300.

Pleasure Way Industries Ltd.

Recall 17V-392 involves certain model-year 2017 Lexor TS motorhomes manufactured from September 1, 2016, to June 19, 2017. A mirror attached to the back of the closet door may detach unexpectedly. Pleasure Way will notify owners, and dealers will attach the mirror with clips instead of adhesive only. Contact Pleasure Way at (800) 364-0189.

Thor Motor Coach

Recall 17V-362 involves certain model-year 2017 Challenger 37YT motorhomes manufactured from April 25, 2016, to May 15, 2017. The exhaust pipe for the onboard gasoline-powered generator may be incorrectly installed or missing completely. Thor Motor Coach will notify owners, and dealers will inspect motorhomes for proper generator exhaust installation and routing, replacing or reinstalling the exhaust as necessary. The recall was expected to begin August 2, 2017. Contact TMC at (877) 500-1020.

Recall 17V-381 involves certain model-year 2018 Outlaw 29H motorhomes manufactured from March 14, 2017, to June 1, 2017. A 15-amp fuse was installed for the awning light instead of the specified 2-amp fuse. If the awning light short-circuits, an incorrect fuse may increase the risk of a fire. Thor Motor Coach will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuse. The recall was expected to begin August 17, 2017. Contact TMC at (877) 500-1020.

Triple E Recreational Vehicles

Recall 17V-383 involves certain model-year 2016-2017 Wonder motorhomes, model W24MB, manufactured from December 29, 2015, to March 20, 2017. The frame extension adapter may be missing some supplemental attaching bolts. If the motorhome’s towing capacity is reached or exceeded, the vehicle frame and/or frame extension structure may distort during towing, affecting vehicle control and increasing the risk of a crash. Contact Triple E at (877) 992-9906.

  • "We were stranded along a narrow road near Bryce Canyon, Utah. The location was not a good place for cellular service, but I was able to contact Roadside Rescue and arrange for a tow after driving our towed vehicle to the town of Bryce. I had to speak with several people at Roadside Rescue, but each person I spoke with was respectful and courteous. The tow was set up and our rig taken to a place that promptly took care of the repair and we were back on the road in 24 hours." Michael & Lynn Noonan (F448134)
