Years married: 37.

Occupations: Greg retired from Duke Energy and now works with Linda in their T-shirt quilt business, www.QuiltMyShirts.com.

Home: Southport, North Carolina; previously Monroe, Ohio.

RV: 2019 Winnebago Minnie travel trailer.

Pets: Sweet Pea, a golden retriever, and Sunshine, a cat.

Our RVing story: In the late ’80s when our kids were small, we owned a pop-up but sold it when we didn’t really have time for camping. In 2016 we bought a small travel trailer after we moved to the North Carolina coast. We thought it would be a great way to visit family in Ohio without having to stay with them, and we could stop at interesting places along the way. We never realized how much we would love to travel this way. After a year and a half, we got a little larger travel trailer. This past spring we found out that FMCA has a campground only 2 1/2 miles from where our son lives in Cincinnati. Everything seems to fit together now.

Favorite camping destination: We’ve really enjoyed the Appalachian Mountain region of North Carolina. We love the DuPont Forest area, Brevard, Chimney Rock, and the mountain towns of Boone and Blowing Rock.

Hobbies:
Linda: Photography, reading, needlework.
Greg: Playing musical instruments, watching sports.

Most challenging activity I’ve tried:
Linda: Saltwater fishing. Just can’t seem to catch anything.
Greg: Category 5 white-water rafting in Colorado.
