Wine tastings, street fairs, shopping, card games, musical entertainment, and good conversation are just some of the activities that members of The Ambassadors chapter enjoy.
The northern California chapter, which has almost 20 member families, was granted its charter on February 21, 1987. Last year, members held a 30th anniversary rally at Betabel RV Park in San Juan Bautista, California. Steve Shade, northern vice president of the Western Motor Home Association, presented the chapter’s 30-year certificate.
Betabel has proven to be a popular rally location for chapter members. Most live in northern California, but some are as far south as Ramona, near San Diego. Other past and future rally sites include the California towns of Chowchilla, Vacaville, Corning, Red Bluff, Jackson Rancheria, and Calistoga. In addition, chapter president Linda Hatterle has hosted members at her Lodi home, which is on a vineyard and has accommodated as many as two dozen RVs.
