Recall 18V-442: Certain 2015-2018 Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation XCL chassis equipped with V-Ride suspension and manufactured from December 3, 2014, to June 28, 2017. The suspension mounting bolts may have been insufficiently tightened, which could lead to detachment of the track bars that maintain the positioning of the rear axle, affecting vehicle handling and stability. The breakaway safety switch may have been improperly wired such that it is not connected to a constant power source, possibly preventing the trailer brakes from automatically applying if the trailer were to separate from the tow vehicle.
