Stop Sticks

The front-facing closets in the rear of our motorhome often open and discharge their contents during a hard stop. To prevent this, I obtained 3/4-inch-by-1/2-inch-by-72-inch strips of hardwood trim, which can be cut to size to serve as crossbars across the closet opening. I also bought a 5-foot roll of 3/4-inch-wide hook-and-loop adhesive tape. I cut the tape into 3/4-inch tabs and applied them to the ends of the crossbars. Then I cut the hook-and-loop tape, lengthwise, to make two long strips. I applied the strips to the inside of the doorjamb. By using hook-and-loop tape, the crossbars can be removed or adjusted to any desired height.
