National Parks Set Fee-Free Days For 2020
The National Park Service will waive entrance fees at all national parks on these days in 2020:
January 20: Martin Luther King Jr. Day
April 18: First Day of National Park Week/National Junior Ranger Day
August 25: National Park Service Birthday
September 26: National Public Lands Day
November 11: Veterans Day
Of the 419 National Park Service sites, 110 charge an entrance fee, with costs ranging from $5 to $35. The entrance fee waiver does not cover amenity or user fees for activities such as camping, boat launches, transportation, or special tours.
Other federal land management agencies offering their own fee-free days in 2020 include the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation, U.S. Forest Service, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
California Campgrounds Rent Retro RVs
A small but growing number of California campgrounds are offering guests the opportunity to rent vintage and iconic travel trailers, some of which date back to the 1940s. Airstream, Boles Aero, Spartan, and Superior models are for rent, as well as modern retro-style travel trailers. Many are equipped with present-day amenities, such as flat-screen TVs, microwave ovens, mini refrigerators, and coffee makers.

Genesis Products Launches Euro Cabinet Doors For RVs
Genesis Products Inc. — a Goshen, Indiana-based manufacturer of laminated panels and wood components for the RV industry and others — has introduced its Euro Cabinet Door line for RVs. The doors are made in partnership with Voehringer, a German company with more than 100 years of engineering and design experience.
Euro Cabinet Doors are available in multiple styles, including flat, curved, and crank-style, in single- or dual-toned shades. A variety of surface textures and decorative inserts are available.
In August 2019, Genesis ramped up capacity for the Euro Cabinet Doors with construction of a 108,400-square-foot manufacturing plant at its existing campus in Goshen.

L’Air Camper Introduces Fiberglass Travel Trailer
L’air Camper Company, which has experience building fiberglass trailer bodies for an Erwin Hymer project, has unveiled a new travel trailer that features fiberglass and foam-core construction. The unit weighs slightly more than 2,000 pounds. The body length is 15 feet 5 inches, and the trailer measures 18 feet 5 inches long overall.
The new RV offers sleeping space for four and a full bath with shower. Standard features include lithium batteries; a Truma Combi heating system; multiple USB charging ports and 110-volt outlets; a Maxxfan Plus ceiling fan; a 3.7-cubic-foot refrigerator; an LG Smart Inverter microwave; and a powered pop-top roof.

RV Manufacturers Support KOA Care Camps
Forest River Inc. and Thor Industries have partnered with KOA Care Camps so that children with cancer and their families can enjoy medically supervised camping experiences at no cost. The nonprofit KOA Care Camps support a network of 135 oncology camps throughout North America. In 2019, the camps served 42,000 children and their families.
For every one of its RVs, boats, buses, and trailers sold in the next five years, Forest River will make a donation to KOA Care Camps The total donation is expected to exceed $1 million.
This is the fourth consecutive year that Thor has given monetary support to KOA Care Camps. The company also has provided Airstream, Jayco, and Keystone RVs for use in camp programs.

Dometic Creates RV Headquarters Location
Dometic is pulling together all RV-focused employee teams and moving them to the new Dometic Americas RV headquarters at 5155 Verdant Drive in Elkhart, Indiana. The move by employees happened in phases this past fall, so as not to disrupt business.
At the new headquarters, employees are organized by project to facilitate better and faster product launches, according to a news release. A new showroom also will be built.
The release said the new headquarters will result in an unspecified number of new positions.
New Offerings From Leisure Travel Vans
The 2020 Unity Twin Bed from Leisure Travel Vans is now on the market. Built on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 Cab chassis, the RV has a non-slideout floor plan with seating for up to four. Its twin beds can convert into a king-size bed (88 inches by 76 inches).
Other features include a 10.25-inch touch screen with intelligent voice control, navigation, and a wireless charging pad; a three-piece dry bath with a stand-up shower; exterior storage that includes a pass-through compartment; a Dometic RMD 10 Series refrigerator; frameless tinted glass windows; and a variety of advanced safety features.

Girard Group Opens Alabama Service Center
Girard Group’s new 40,000-square-foot factory in Red Bay, Alabama, has opened. The facility manufactures Girard awnings and shade products for customers in Southern states, and it includes a service center for warranty work and repair of all Girard products. In addition, customers can visit the facility to upgrade or change their existing awnings.
