Family Matters: Meet The Family

February 3, 2020

Paul and Betty Byrnes, F493073

Occupations:
Paul: Retired dealer for a water-treatment company.
Betty: Retired special education teacher/consultant and real estate agent.

Home: Cape Coral, Florida.

RV: 2015 Thor A.C.E.

Pets: Two dogs, Peanut and Cammie.

RVing since: August 2018.

How we met: Blind date.

A lesson I’ve learned while RVing: When encountering difficult situations, go slow.

Most amusing encounter with another RVer: A fellow named Charlie and his converted “psychedelic” school bus. We met Charlie at Peggy Sue’s ’50s Diner near Yermo, California. He and a friend were beginning a cross-country trip from Los Angeles, California, to Key West, Florida. He encouraged anyone who wanted to, to sign the outside of the bus.

Favorite camping destination: The Grand Canyon, because of its awesomeness.

Our next adventure: Following the Mississippi River from New Orleans, Louisiana, to Minneapolis, Minnesota.
