What’s In A Name?
Shortly after getting my Roadtrek RV in 2020, I began to tire of referring to it as “The RV” and started searching for a “catchy” name for it.
At my 60th high school class reunion, the name of a classmate finally gave me an idea. I toyed with it for a while and came up with a design. I had Fast Signs convert it into solid decals for the passenger side and back of the motorhome and a see-through one for the galley window on the driver’s side.
I unveiled “HaRVey” on the trip to the FMCA convention in Tucson, Arizona, earlier this year. While it’s not MY name, that is what many of my fellow Trekkers called me during the convention.

Tire Monitor Caps Caution
I learned an expensive lesson about tire pressure monitor caps a few years ago while having a tire changed and all my tires checked. I did not go behind the technicians afterward to check whether they had secured the caps properly, and the caps on both tires on the right side of my wife’s automobile were not screwed down far enough. Both tires leaked down and consequently were ruined. That was a $700 lesson that I do not need to repeat. So, always check this after anyone services your tires.

New Chapter For Grand Design Owners?
Calling all Grand Design RV owners! Let’s hang out and have some fun. We are hoping to start a Grand Design chapter and are looking for who all might be interested. We need at least 15 to be able to start. If there is enough interest, we will move forward with FMCA. Our first opportunity to get together will be in Lincoln, Nebraska, at the “Golden Getaway” convention, and we hope to elect officers at that time.
The convention in Nebraska will be over by the time many of you read this, but if you are interested in learning more, please contact Paul and Cindy Pomeroy at pcpomtravels@gmail.com or (928) 830-3908, or contact the FMCA national office.

Correction
The “RV Products” column in the August 2022 issue included the EZQuest UltimatePower 120W GaN Fast USB-C Wall Charger. The charger was erroneously listed as coming with a “USB-C to USC-C” cable instead of a “USB-C to USB-C” cable.
