Tech Tip: Keeping A Cool Coach

Tech Tip: Keeping A Cool Coach

I was a customer service tech for many years and gave the following suggestion to motorized RV owners: Rather than run your dash air conditioner when driving, use your generator and turn on the roof A/C. This will allow the power that was being used to run the dash A/C compressor to be used to get the unit down the road. This also keeps the motorhome engine running a little cooler when it is hot outside. The generator will handle any appliances that are in the unit. The roof A/C units will cool the entire unit rather than just the driver and passenger area.
