The Artpiece for RV 1000W solar awning from Eco-dynamic can generate up to 1,000 watts of power via its rollable solar cells while also providing shade. The awning extends and retracts using an electric motor that can be controlled remotely.

Eco-dynamic Introduces Colored Solar Awning

Eco-dynamic, a U.S.-based tech-driven company aiming to harness the power of the sun and redefine renewable energy, has unveiled an innovative product called “Artpiece for RV 1000W,” which the company is touting as the world’s first colored, motorized, and rollable solar awning.

Artpiece for RV 1000W combines solar power technology and sun shading to create an awning that integrates lightweight, 360-degree, rollable, flexible heterojunction technology (HJT) solar modules instead of conventional awning fabric.

Eco-dynamic’s Kalaflex technology imbues the solar cells with colorful patterns that never fade, according to company officials. This allows Artpiece for RV 1000W to serve as a decorative element for RVs.

The solar awning is designed to generate about 1,000 watts of power output (depending on sunlight quality). It is said to be robust for challenging outdoor environments and is equipped with an electric motor that allows users to extend it in seconds via remote control. Integrated LED lights provide illumination for nighttime RVing.

At press time, Eco-dynamic was offering a 25 percent early-bird discount for preorders placed at www.econamictech.com.

Keystone RV Gives Owners Access To Private Land In Montana And Idaho

This summer, Keystone RV owners can book a stay on over 75 private properties in Montana and Idaho, thanks to the company’s partnership with LandTrust. A Bozeman, Montana-based company, LandTrust connects outdoor recreationists to over 1 million acres of private land throughout the western United States.

LandTrust has designated a collection of RV-friendly ranches, farms, and other properties and is making them available exclusively to Keystone owners and their friends and family. Owners can connect with LandTrust through a website that was created for the promotion. Campers will work with the LandTrust concierge team to find properties that cater to their interests, including visiting historical sites and area parks, learning about small-town Western living, hiking, biking, hunting, foraging, birding and bird-watching, photography, farm and ranch tours, horseback riding, off-roading, archery, shooting, and stargazing.

Sites range from $50 to $100, and as a part of the Keystone owners’ promotion, LandTrust will be waiving booking fees.

“We support local landowners by helping them tap into the income potential of recreational opportunities on their land and at the same time open up millions of acres of private land for outdoor enthusiasts to have new experiences,” said Nic De Castro, LandTrust founder and CEO.

“We’re excited to partner with Keystone to connect their customers with some of our amazing Montana and Idaho ranches, families, and communities for truly unique experiences that have never before been available to the RV community,” he added.

Jayco Launches RV Universities

In collaboration with the National RV Training Academy (NRVTA), Highland Ridge and Starcraft RV have introduced a series of training videos to help educate the brands’ owners on the operation of their recreation vehicles.

In 2022, representatives from NRVTA visited the RV manufacturer’s Indiana campus where they recorded more than 70 walk-through-style training videos focused on specific components and systems used in Highland Ridge and Starcraft RVs. These videos were paired with existing videos related to exclusive Jayco systems to create a full curriculum housed in an online learning center offered free to current or potential owners.

“We initially launched the training program on our Jayco towable products, and the response was amazing,” said Trey Miller, Jayco vice president of marketing. “In the first month after releasing the program, nearly 1,500 owners had completed the full video curriculum, so we are obviously thrilled to now release the Starcraft and Highland Ridge Universities.” And according to the website, a training program for Entegra Coach is coming soon.

Miller noted that when customers pick up their new RVs, they are excited, and the amount of information presented to them during a walk-through orientation at a dealership can be overwhelming. So, having the videos from the manufacturer readily available online allows customers to review features and information at their convenience.

As owners become comfortable with the curriculum, they can move on to NRVTA’s home-study RV TechCourse, available to them at a discounted rate.

Winnebago Completes Purchase Of Lithionics Battery

Winnebago Industries recently announced that it has completed its acquisition of Lithionics Battery, a lithium-ion battery solutions provider to the recreational equipment and specialty vehicle markets.

Michael Happe, Winnebago Industries president and CEO, said: “The addition of Lithionics accelerates our innovation in diverse battery solutions and advances our overall electrical ecosystem, creating more opportunities for our RV and marine products to capitalize on consumer preferences for fully immersive, off-the-grid outdoor experiences, while enhancing our enterprise margin profile.” This purchase follows years of close partnership between the two companies, he added.

Lithionics Battery was founded in 2010 and is headquartered in Clearwater, Florida.
