Hello. I want to start by expressing appreciation for the support I received that led to my election as your FMCA national president. My wife, Glenda, and I feel it is an honor to represent this amazing organization. Many of you know us, but for those of you who don’t, I’d like to share a bit of our story.
I was raised in a family of 19 children. I had 16 sisters and two brothers; Glenda had two brothers. She and I have two daughters who are currently teachers in Missouri. We have four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. I served 20 years in the United States Army and 20 years in public education. Glenda worked for the Department of Defense and retired with 17 years in public education.
She and I have attended 15 FMCA international conventions and approximately 25 area rallies, and we are members of 22 FMCA chapters. We have both served in almost every volunteer position there is at those FMCA events.
At the time of this writing, we are at the FMCA national office in Cincinnati after attending the South Central Area Rally (also known as the Six-State Rally) in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Dianna Huff, national vice president, South Central Area, and her staff conducted a great rally. Glenda and I competed in their cornhole tournament but could not beat immediate past FMCA national president Rett Porter and his partner. There’s always next time, I guess.
After we wrap up things here in Cincinnati, we will travel to the Eastern Area Rally in Lewisburg, West Virginia. We look forward to seeing our FMCA friends there and to spending time in that part of the United States. The “Autumn In The Mountains” backdrop for this rally needs to be on your bucket list; it is a very picturesque area.
FMCA’s 108th International Convention and RV Expo is scheduled to take place March 20 through 23, 2024, at the Pima County Fairgrounds in Tucson, Arizona. Registration is now open for the “Fiesta del Sol” convention, and we hope you will join us. Planning is underway for the event, and it’s sure to be a great time for all. We’re ordering up some warm, sunny weather, too.
The registration form appears online at FMCA.com and in the September and October issues of the magazine. You can register online anytime or by calling the FMCA national office at (800) 543-3622 Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern time. You can also send your registration form to FMCA via postal mail.
Glenda and I are extremely excited about the opportunity to serve FMCA and all of you as members. If you have ideas about the association that you’d like to share with me, please feel free to send an email to gmilner@fmca.com.
As we enter the season of Thanksgiving, Glenda and I wish all our friends in the United States a safe and wonderful holiday. We also send belated wishes to our friends in Canada, who celebrated their Thanksgiving in early October.
We also wish you safe travels and look forward to seeing you at an upcoming area rally and at an international convention soon.
Share The Love Of FMCA
Earn rewards, including a free year of membership, by recruiting other RV owners to join FMCA.

The best way to spread the word about FMCA is for members to let other RV owners know about the benefits of belonging. So, we’re inviting members to “Share the love of FMCA.” Let other RV owners know what you love about FMCA and get one free year added to your existing membership for the first new FMCA member you recruit. And for a limited time, that new member can join for $10 off the regular price. Talk about a win-win!
We’ve created a program that makes it easy to do. Follow the steps below when you meet a prospective new member at a campground, event, or anywhere you travel:
Go to FMCA.com/share where you can log in using your online credentials or simply enter your family membership (F) number. You will then be able to select one of these options:
Request a QR code that the prospective member can scan with their smartphone’s camera.
Request a custom link that can be sent to the prospective member’s smartphone via text message.
Request a custom link that can be emailed to the prospective member’s email address.
Using any of these options ensures that your family membership number will receive credit for the new member joining (and that you receive your reward).
The prospective member can also:
Sign up by calling (800) 543-3622 or (513) 474-3622.
Join online at www.fmca.com/join-fmca.
Complete and mail in the enrollment form (www.fmca.com/pdfs/EnrollmentFormPrint.pdf).
Please be sure the prospective member includes your family membership (F) number when joining, and that they use promo code RECRT10 to join at $10 off the regular price.
The free year of membership is a one-time offer that applies to the first new member you recruit, but the rewards don’t stop there. For each subsequent member you recruit, you will earn a $10 reward certificate good toward membership dues renewal, event registration, FMCA merchandise, and more.
Note that the free year of membership for recruiting a new member is limited to existing active FMCA members who have not yet been awarded a free year; one redemption per membership number. New members must be paid in full and reference your family membership (F) number on their join submission. No retroactive credits will be given. The extension to your existing membership will happen within 30 days of your current membership lapse date. If a recruited member cancels within the first year, the extension credit is void.
And especially with the holiday season approaching, don’t forget that gift memberships are also available. FMCA membership is the gift that keeps on giving throughout the year! Learn more at www.fmca.com/giftfmca.
Thank you for helping to spread the word about FMCA and all the great reasons for belonging to the world’s finest organization for RV owners. Enjoy the journey!
