The following recalls were issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on October 7, 2024. To search for recalls, investigations, and complaints by vehicle year, make, model, and VIN, visit www.nhtsa.gov/recalls. NHTSA’s vehicle safety hotline is (888) 327-4236.

BRINKLEY RV

24V-717: Certain 2025 Model Z travel trailers. The installed safety chains are underrated for the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR). Underrated chains can break, allowing the trailer to detach from the tow vehicle and increasing the risk of a crash. Brinkley recall number: REC-2403. Brinkley, (574) 501-4280.

DAIMLER TRUCKS NORTH AMERICA

24V-736: Certain 2025 Freightliner Cascadia, Freightliner Custom Chassis XCM, Freightliner Custom Chassis XCP, and Western Star 49X vehicles equipped with certain Cummins fuel pumps. The fuel pump barrels may fracture and cause a fuel leak, which can result in an engine stall and increase the risk of a crash. Daimler Trucks North America, (800) 745-8000; Cummins, 812-377-5000. Daimler Trucks North America recall number: F1010.

FORD

24V-725: Certain 2024 F-53 recreational stripped chassis and 2024 F-59 commercial stripped chassis vehicles. The instrument panel cluster may not properly display the transmission gear position indicator, increasing the risk of a crash. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 102, “Transmission Shift Position Sequence, Starter Interlock, and Transmission Braking Effect.” Ford recall number: 24C32. Ford, (866) 436-7332.

FOREST RIVER

24V-721: Certain 2024-2025 Clipper and Viking travel trailers. The roof rack hardware may not have been properly tightened, which could allow the rack to detach from the roof and increase the risk of a crash. Forest River, (269) 467-6604.

24V-722: Certain 2024-2025 Clipper and Viking travel trailers. The side marker lights may not reflect light as intended, which can make it difficult for other drivers to see the trailer and increase the risk of a crash. As such, these trailers fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, “Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment.” Forest River, (269) 467-6604.

24V-746: Certain 2025 Catalina Legacy Edition 243RBS travel trailers. The federal placard label states an incorrect gross axle weight rating (GAWR). Referencing an incorrect label may lead to unintentionally overloading the vehicle and increase the risk of a crash. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 110, “Tire Selection and Rims,” and fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, “Certification.” Forest River, (574) 825-4995.

WINNEBAGO

24V-733: Certain Winnebago 2013-2017 Tour; 2013-2018 Journey; 2014-2022 Forza; 2015-2016 Brave; 2015-2019 Grand Tour; 2015-2021 Vista; 2016-2018 Adventurer, Sightseer; 2018-2021 Intent, Sunstar; and 2018-2020 Horizon motorhomes, as well as certain Itasca motorhomes: 2013-2017 Ellipse, Meridian; 2014-2017 Solei; 2015-2016 Tribute; 2015-2018 Sunstar; and 2016-2018 Suncruiser, Sunova. The turn signals may have a smaller than required luminous lens area, making it difficult for other drivers to see the turn signal and increasing the risk of a crash. As such these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) Number 108, “Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment.” Winnebago recall number: 189. Winnebago, (800) 537-1885.
