Great music and plenty of RVing fun will serve as the sound-track for Family RV Association’s “Rock & Roll High School” International Convention & RV Expo at CAM-PLEX Multi-Event Facilities in Gillette, Wyoming, July 16 through 19, 2025.
Let the sounds of yesterday carry you back to that magical time between adolescence and adulthood when life was uncomplicated, exciting, and filled with discovery. That’s when songs of the era encouraged you to “Dream On”; inspired “Good Vibrations”; and asked, “Do You Believe in Magic?” From the moment “Morning Has Broken” until you “Dance the Night Away,” “The Guitar Man” and “Piano Man” will have you singing “All Day and All of the Night.” Thanks to a schedule brimming with musical entertainment, you’ll be having “Fun, Fun, Fun” from dawn to dark.
Of course, the convention playlist will include an extensive variety of other activities. The Wyoming Center will teem with exhibitors queued up to sing the praises of their products and/or services. After a successful debut at the Perry convention, Kevin and Patrice McCabe, hosts of the “RV There Yet?” Discovery Channel television series, will energize the exhibit hall with displays, demos, and entertainment. And when you’ve finished perusing the indoor offerings, step outside to the RV display area to find the finest motorhomes, fifth-wheels, and travel trailers available, whether you’re looking to go bigger or downsize your residence on wheels.
Despite Pink Floyd’s insistence that “We don’t need no education,” RVers know better. Ask anyone who’s been to an FRVA convention, and they will tell you that the “headliner” of each show is the educational program available to all attendees. With more than 100 seminars scheduled throughout the event, you will feel like you’re right back at the old alma mater. Except this time, you won’t be scheming ways to cut class.
The curriculum is extensive, covering nearly every RVing topic imaginable, with company reps and industry experts serving as faculty during these hour-long periods. Sit in on nuts-and-bolts sessions and learn how to keep your unit running right. Gain knowledge about the different systems in your RV and what you can do to make sure they’re in optimal operating condition. Find out about towing, suspensions, weight limitations, driving, safety, and other subjects during the technical portion of the program.
Have you ever dreamed about taking your RV to the coolest places on earth, but were afraid to do so on your own? Fantasy RV Tours and other companies will acquaint you with their group vacations to some of the most fabulous locations in the world. The syllabus will also contain oodles of lifestyle classes, such as genealogy, cooking, keeping the interior of your RV fresh and clean, plus many more. Choose a class, find a seat, and get schooled in the topics that interest you the most.
Perhaps you want to find out more about Family RV Association and everything it has to offer members. Sessions are presented about FRVA and the long list of partners and programs available to members, such as Medical & Travel Assist insurance, Roadside Rescue, RV insurance, tire discounts, Tech Connect+ mobile internet and cellphone plans, and more. It won’t take you long to realize that the learning never stops during this four-day educational extravaganza.
In addition, you’ll find all sorts of other activities to keep you rockin’ and rollin’ throughout the event. Karaoke, trivia, cornhole, and card bingo are slated, with chapter gatherings, a parade, and many more get-togethers planned.
If you need a cure for those “Summertime Blues,” plan a trip to Wyoming for the biggest RV “Celebration” of the year. This convention will be “Nothin’ but a Good Time,” so register today by calling the FRVA Events department at (800) 543-3622; sign up online at FRVA.com; or complete and send in the registration form found on page 39 of this issue.
