Recalls

The following recall notices are from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). To search for recalls, investigations, and complaints by vehicle year, make, model, and VIN, visit www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/owners/SearchSafetyIssues. NHTSA’s Vehicle Safety Hotline is (888) 327-4236.

Airstream Inc.

20V-577: Certain 2021 Basecamp 16 travel trailers manufactured from August 18, 2020, to September 21, 2020. The information printed on the federal certification and tire placard is 255/55R18 – 50 PSI, when the correct information is ST225/75R15E – 80 PSI. Recall start: November 2020. Airstream, (877) 596-6505 or (937) 596-6111, ext. 7401 or 7411.

Braxton Creek RV

20V-565: Certain 2020-2021 Bushwhacker 10FB and 2021 Bushwhacker 10SS travel trailers manufactured from May 1, 2019, to July 31, 2020. The lag bolts are too small and may pull through the floor, causing the floor to separate from the frame of the trailer. Recall start: October 2020. Braxton Creek, (260) 768-7932.

20V-572: Certain 2020 Bushwhacker and Bushwhacker Plus travel trailers manufactured from May 1, 2019, to March 25, 2020. The tire data sticker does not match the recommended maximum PSI on the tire. The tire data sticker states 65 PSI, but the tire states 50 PSI as the maximum. This could lead to the tire being overinflated. Recall start: October 2020. Braxton Creek, (260) 768-7932.

Daimler Trucks North America

20V-567: Certain 2017-2021 Cascadia P4 vehicles manufactured from March 8, 2016, to January 3, 2020. The brake lights may remain illuminated after the brake pedal has been released, preventing accurate communication to following vehicles and potentially leading to a crash. Recall start: November 2020. Daimler Trucks recall number FL-863. Daimler Trucks, (800) 547-0712.

Daimler Vans USA

20V-595: Certain 2019-2020 Mercedes-Benz and Freightliner Sprinter vehicles (VS30, Platform 907) manufactured from January 18, 2019, to June 9, 2020. The fuel line clamps may loosen and result in a fuel leak, increasing the risk of a fire. Recall start: October 2020. Daimler Vans recall number: VS3SCHELLE. Daimler Vans USA, (877) 762-8267.

Forest River Inc.

20V-563: Certain 2018-2021 Wildwood and Salem and 2020 Sonoma travel trailers. The breakaway safety switch may not be wired to constant power, which can cause the trailer brakes to not activate in the event of a trailer separation from the tow vehicle. Recall start: October 2020. Forest River, (909) 873-3777.

20V-589: Certain 2021 Salem and Wildwood travel trailers. The flame on the cooktop may become inverted, because of the cooktop not being isolated from the furnace return air, increasing the risk of a fire. Recall start: October 2020. Forest River, (574) 534-3167.

20V-591: Certain 2020-2021 Dynamax Isata motorhomes manufactured from November 15, 2019, to September 21, 2020, using FCA Ram chassis. The powertrain control module may have engine calibration software that does not provide adequate engine warm-up protection. This can result in engine damage and connecting rod failure, which could potentially puncture the engine block, increasing the risk of a fire. Recall start: October 2020. FCA, (800) 853-1403.

20V-605: Certain 2021 Coachmen Sportscoach and Forest River Georgetown motorhomes manufactured from August 20, 2020, to September 28, 2020. The P2K Bunk Bed System motor may fail, causing the bunk to fall from the stowed position. Recall start: November 2020. Sportscoach, (574) 825-8212, or Georgetown, (574) 206-7600.

Jayco Inc.

20V-600: Certain 2019-2021 Entegra Aspire, 2020-2021 Anthem and Cornerstone, and 2021 Reatta, Reatta XL, and Jayco Embark motorhomes manufactured from February 22, 2018, to September 29, 2020, and incorporating Villa power seats. The power seat wiring may become chafed because of poor routing and no protection, or melt from exceeding the 14-gauge wire amp capacity. Recall start: November 2020. Jayco recall number: 9903521. Jayco, (800) 517-9137.

Keystone RV Company

20V-606: Certain 2020 Hideout 290LHS travel trailers manufactured on July 31, 2019. These vehicles were built with 3,500-pound axles and ST205/75R14D tires and rims instead of the 4,400-pound axles and ST225/75R15D tires and rims specified on the federal ID tag. Recall start: October 2020. Keystone recall number: 20-388. Keystone, (866) 425-4369.

Newmar Corporation

20V-566: Certain 2021 Canyon Star and 2018-2019 Ventana motorhomes built on chassis supplied by Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA). The tire valve stem extension for the inner wheel may contact the outer wheel rim opening and become damaged, resulting in a loss of pressure in the inner tire and increasing the risk of a crash. Recall start: November 2020. Newmar, (800) 731-8300.

20V-594: Certain 2021 Essex, Dutch Star, Mountain Aire, and London Aire motorhomes manufactured from November 20, 2019, to September 4, 2020. The front leveling jacks may not be fastened correctly to the chassis, possibly causing the jacks to fail to support the weight of the motorhome; an unexpected drop could result in an injury. Recall start: November 2020. Newmar, (800) 731-8300.
