La Mesa RV Hires Female Service Technician
As a child, Dawn Landisi loved taking things apart and putting them back together. She helped work on cars in her dad’s garage. In high school, she enrolled in auto shop and metal shop. She eventually earned an automotive technology degree from Cuyamaca College in San Diego, California, which led her to jobs at various car dealerships and auto shops.
Now, she is the first female service technician to be hired at La Mesa RV in San Diego. She is working toward becoming a master certified technician. And she hopes to inspire other women to join her in the service department. For information about a career at La Mesa RV, visit lamesarv.com/home/employment or call the jobs hotline at (800) 945-8561.

Find Your Park Campaign Begins
The National Park Service and the National Park Foundation have launched Find Your Park, a public awareness and education campaign celebrating the centennial anniversary of the National Park Service in 2016.
Find Your Park invites the public to see that a national park — there are 407 of them, by the way — is more than just a place. It can be a feeling, a state of mind, or a sense of American pride. In addition to vast landscapes, the campaign highlights historical, urban, and cultural parks, as well as National Park Service programs that protect, preserve, and share nature, culture, and history.
The public is invited to share park experiences and memories at www.FindYourPark.com, which will feature an interactive gallery of inspirational stories from the general public, National Park Service employees, and celebrities. On social media, content will be tagged with #FindYourPark. Also on FindYourPark.com is a searchable list of ideas for ways to find your park, including in-park and digital activities. Find Your Park will include a stream of programs, exhibits, events, and public activities throughout 2015 and 2016.
Meanwhile, nearly $26 million has been earmarked to complete 106 projects in more than 100 national parks in preparation for the National Park Service centennial. The Centennial Challenge Projects will receive $10 million appropriated by Congress and $15.9 million in matching money from more than 90 partner organizations.
National Park Service officials said the projects, which are located in 31 states and the District of Columbia, are meant to improve visitor services, support outreach to new audiences, and leverage partnerships to reinvigorate national parks and forge connections with communities. Projects include trail, road, and bridge repairs; exhibit improvements; and new signage. For the complete list of projects, visit www.nps.gov/subjects/centennial/nps-centennial-challenge-projects.htm.
