Heritage Motor Coach Resort Announces Grand Opening
Developers of Heritage Motor Coach Resort and Marina in Orange Beach, Alabama, celebrated the grand opening of the new resort on November 13, 2009.
Located 30 miles west of Pensacola, Florida, and 50 miles east of Mobile, Alabama, Heritage is being developed locally by founder Duke Gibbs. Amenities include a gated entry and exit; cobblestone, brick-paved roadways and sidewalks; antiqued-copper gas streetlights; a stand-alone bathhouse; and walking trails. Its waterfront clubhouse features 3,000 square feet of heated/cooled areas; 4,200 square feet of outdoor leisure space; a second-story waterfront pavilion overlook with a gas lava pit; a grand room with 12-foot-high ceilings, fireplaces, and flat-screen TVs; a fully appointed fitness center; a resort-style, zero-entry infinity pool; a hot tub; and a laundry facility and elevator.
Fifty of the 79 units have been sold, and resort officials expect the uptick in the RV market to bring more interested motorhome owners to the facility.

Go RVing Introduces New TV Spots, Updated Web Site
The Go RVing television advertising campaign for 2010 will feature innovative, animated commercials with the “Go Affordably, Go RVing” theme to help capture a new audience.
The campaign will introduce Go RVing’s “Ambassadors of Affordability,” animals from the popular “What Will You Discover” print ads animated with voices and cutting-edge special effects, to communicate RV value messages.
Four new 30-second television spots combine existing photography from the Go RVing print ads with shots of current-model RVs. Lighter, fuel-efficient, attractively priced RVs are featured to support the affordability theme of the ads.
The cornerstone of the campaign is a spot featuring the animal ambassadors singing the classic Western ballad “Back in the Saddle Again,” in a lush forest setting. The ad stars a bison, a bear, and a fox, with a full supporting cast of animals big and small. This commercial will be the first to air beginning January 2010. Three additional commercials in the series feature the same music track, but each plot will highlight different reasons families enjoy RVing.
Reinforcing the new “Ambassadors of Affordability” TV ads, GoRVing.com will launch a state-of-the-art interactive microsite in early 2010. Visitors to the site will be greeted by the Ambassadors of Affordability. Each animal ambassador will be a tour guide to an updated area of the site. Web users will have access to an Explore RVs tool comparing the various RV types, sizes, and features; a Vacation Cost Comparison tool utilizing the most current PKF Vacation Cost Comparison data; an Activities Selector tailored to their age and interests; and a Locator tool to find a dealer, rental company, manufacturer, campground, or industry supplier.
The Go RVing Coalition, formed in 1994, consists of RV manufacturers, component suppliers, dealers, and campgrounds. Go RVing works to provide the public and media with pertinent information about the benefits of RV travel. For more information, visit www.gorving.com.

Damon, Four Winds Offer Service Advocate Assistance For New Owners
Thor Motorized Services (TMS), the service arm of Damon Motor Coach and Four Winds International, has rolled out a new service called “Concierge Connection . . . Your Personal Service Advocate.”
Concierge Connection offers new retail owners of any Damon or Four Winds motorhome a personal service advocate to expedite service needs. The concierge will contact the retail owner within days of being notified of a retail registration and welcome them to the TMS family. The concierge will explain the warranty and answer service-related and frequently asked questions about motorhome operation. The concierge also will emphasize the need for the owner to take their motorhome to the selling dealer for service whenever possible and that the dealer is the main point of contact for service. If more technical assistance is needed, owners will be assigned a customer service specialist to handle their concerns and help them increase their comfort level with their new motorhome.
The concierge will contact the retail owner again during the third month of ownership to bolster confidence in the service commitment provided by TMS. The follow-up call will assure the owner that TMS will assist in connecting the owner to a customer service specialist who will act as a liaison between the owner and dealer.
Damon Motor Coach and Four Winds International are subsidiaries of Thor Industries Inc. For more information about each of the company’s products, visit www.damonrv.com or www.fourwinds-rv.com.
