Daimler Vans USA

Recall 17V-364 involves certain model-year 2016 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter models 2500 and 3500 and Freightliner Sprinter models 2500 and 3500 manufactured from June 8, 2016, to December 20, 2016, and equipped with reinforced front axles. Tire labels on the B-pillar list a tire pressure that is too low. Daimler Vans will notify owners, and Freightliner and Mercedes-Benz dealers will replace the tire label as necessary. A notification schedule had not been set as of press time. Contact Daimler Vans at (877) 762-8267.

Prevost Cars Inc.

Recall 17V-299 involves certain model-year 2014-2017 H3-45 VIP, X3-45 VIP, and X3-45  Entertainer motorhomes manufactured from December 5, 2013, to March 1, 2017, and equipped with 10,000-pound-capacity trailer hitch receivers. The trailer hitch mounting fasteners may loosen, which could cause the trailer hitch to deform or detach from the vehicle. Prevost will notify owners, and dealers will replace the trailer hitch mounting hardware. The recall was expected to begin July 1, 2017. Contact your nearest Prevost service center; locations are listed at www.prevostcar.com/contact-us/prevost-service-centers. Or call Prevost at (866) 870-2046.

Thor Motor Coach

Recall 17V-283 involves certain model-year 2016-2017 Thor Motor Coach Venetian and Tuscany motorhomes built on Freightliner chassis equipped with Cummins ISL engines and manufactured from March 3, 2016, to November 7, 2016. The recall previously was reported as Daimler Trucks recall 16V-809. A power steering hose may be routed incorrectly. As a result, the hose may rub against the power stud on the starter motor, possibly causing electrical arcing and a power steering fluid leak, which can increase the risk of a fire. Daimler Trucks, the chassis manufacturer, has notified motorhome owners. Daimler dealers will reroute the high-pressure power steering hose. The recall began December 27, 2016. Contact Daimler Trucks at (800) 547-0712 or Thor Motor Coach at (877) 500-1020.
