Checklist Holder
We keep our “Take List” right beside the motorhome’s ignition so we won’t forget items we need on the trip. It is held there with a stick-on clamp that can be purchased at any mass merchandise store. When we pull out, we have peace of mind that we have everything critical for the trip.

Pull-Out Drawer
I wasn’t happy with the towing gear flopping around in the bottom of the motorhome’s exterior storage compartment. So, I built a pull-out drawer to keep everything contained inside the compartment. I can remove the drawer and carry everything to the rear of the motorhome when it’s time to connect the towed vehicle.
I used shelving material, glue, and staples to create a box that fits inside the compartment. Next, I cut a piece of 2-inch-diameter PVC pipe lengthwise with my circular saw and screwed the two half-round pieces to the sides of the box. The half-round pieces slide over the horizontal stiffening ridges in the compartment and act as drawer slides. The box also splits the compartment into upper and lower sections, allowing easier access to everything.

Awning Wand Holder
It’s always been a hassle to go to the storage bay to retrieve the awning wand, and then put it away. So I purchased some plastic cable loop clamps that normally are used to hold wires against a baseboard, and I made a holder for the awning wand just inside the door of the motorhome. Simply screw in three clamps — put each screw only through the bottom tab of the holder, leaving the top tab open — as close as possible to the inside edge of the door, then slip the rod into them. The awning wand doesn’t rattle, and it’s easy to access when needed.
