Entegra Coach has announced NHTSA recall 12V072000, which affects 2011 and 2012 model-year Anthem motorhomes built from July 17, 2010, through November 30, 2011. The potential number of motorhomes involved is 29.
On the affected motorhomes, the front tires could become overloaded due to cargo distribution in the storage areas. Overloading the front tires may lead to tire failure, which could result in a vehicle crash.
An Entegra dealer will replace the front tires and, on some models, may replace the front wheels to provide additional load capacity. The repair is expected to take one hour. However, because of service scheduling times, the service department may need the vehicle for a longer time period.

Gulf Stream Coach Inc. has announced NHTSA recall 12V105000, which affects 2001 through 2005 model-year Conquest, Ultra, and Yellowstone; 2002 and 2003 model-year Cavalier; 2003 through 2005 model-year Independence; and 2004 and 2005 model-year Endura motorhomes with floor plans 6316, 6317, 6330, 8325, and 8328 built from January 5, 2001, through March 14, 2005. The potential number of motorhomes involved is 1,502.
On the affected motorhomes, the Romex wiring in the wiring raceway that leads from the floor to the roof through the refrigerator cabinet may not be properly secured. The exposed wiring is in close proximity to the heated refrigerator coils. This condition creates points of possible wear due to vibration during vehicle operation and a potential for a thermal event, which over time could cause the 110-volt-AC Romex wiring to short-circuit. This could cause failure of the wiring routed to the microwave oven cabinet, possibly resulting in property damage, fire, or bodily injury.
A Gulf Stream Coach dealer will remove the refrigerator from its cabinet, secure the wiring, and return the refrigerator to the cabinet. In some cases, the wiring may need to be repaired and will require a repair kit. The repair is expected to take two hours. However, because of service scheduling times, the service department may need the vehicle for a longer time period.

Newell Coach Corporation has announced NHTSA recall 12V056000, which affects 2005 through 2010 model-year motorhomes equipped with Se-Gi windows and built from January 2004 through December 2009. The potential number of motorhomes involved is 207.
On the affected motorhomes, certain Se-Gi windows include a glass panel that is hinged at the top to open for ventilation. Over time, the adhesive bond between the glass portion and the hinge may degrade, and the panel may detach and fall from the vehicle, potentially causing property damage or personal injury.
Newell and Se-Gi Products Inc. have developed a remedy campaign and are preparing to notify customers pursuant to federal procedures. For more information, contact Newell Coach Corporation at (888) 963-9355.
Spartan Motors Chassis Inc. has announced NHTSA recall 11V516000, which affects 2010 and 2011 model-year K2, K3, MM, and SU chassis built from January 4, 2010, through January 26, 2011, and equipped with electronic control modules 2791-NN2E-001, 2791-NN2E-002, 2791-NN2F-001, or 2791-NN2F-002. The potential number of chassis involved is 1,480.
On the affected chassis, when the brake is applied, the cruise control may not cancel. In addition, the vehicle may exhibit an inadvertent increase in speed until the vehicle reaches its governed speed after the cruise control has been set. Should the vehicle speed increase without warning and the driver not be aware of this speed change, he or she may have reduced stopping distance, which could lead to a vehicle crash.
A Spartan service center will install new cruise control switches and reprogram the existing control module. The repair is expected to take two hours. However, because of service scheduling times, the service department may need the vehicle for a longer time period.
