Entegra Coach has announced NHTSA recall 12V312000, which affects 2011 through 2013 model-year Anthem and Aspire and 2012 and 2013 model-year Cornerstone motorhomes built from April 19, 2011, through June 22, 2012. The potential number of motorhomes involved is 232.
On the affected motorhomes, the windshield wiper arm can detach from the vehicle. If the wiper arm detaches from the vehicle while it is being driven, an accident or injury could result.
An Entegra Coach dealer will replace the shaft attaching the wiper arm to the wiper linkage and add a lock washer that will securely hold the wiper arm on the shaft. The repair is expected to take approximately 30 minutes. However, because of service scheduling times, the service department may need the vehicle for a longer time period.

Forest River Inc. has announced NHTSA recall 12V341000, which involves 2005 through 2011 model-year Berkshire and Charleston motorhomes built from January 2005 through September 2010 and equipped with IOTA ITS-50R transfer switches. The potential number of motorhomes involved is 850.
On the affected motorhomes, the IOTA ITS-50R transfer switch may experience heat-related failure when exposed to elevated electrical loads associated with RV use in higher ambient temperatures. The failure may lead to an increased risk of electrical damage to appliances in the vehicle. Continued use of the vehicle without replacing the transfer switch can increase the risk of fire, personal injury, and property damage.
A Forest River dealer will replace the IOTA-ITS-50R transfer switch with a different brand transfer switch. The repair is expected to take approximately two hours. However, because of service scheduling times, the service department may need the vehicle for a longer period of time.
For more information about this recall, contact Forest River Inc. at (574) 295-2117 or (574) 522-1583. Owner notification was expected to begin in August 2012.
