Daimler Trucks North America
Recall 16V-654 involves certain model-year 2013-2016 Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation XCM, XCR, and XCL motorhome chassis manufactured from December 21, 2012, to December 22, 2015. On certain chassis built with a heavier, adjustable straight foot pedal, the brake activation signal to certain towed devices may not deactivate when the motorhome service brakes are released. Daimler Trucks will notify owners, and dealers will modify the affected brake assemblies. The recall was expected to begin November 7, 2016. Contact Daimler Trucks at (800) 547-0712.
Forest River Inc.
Recall 16V-552 involves these motorhomes: certain model-year 2013-2017 Pursuit manufactured from January 1, 2013, to July 14, 2016; 2016-2017 Freelander manufactured from November 4, 2015, to June 30, 2016; 2016-2017 Orion manufactured from April 16, 2016, to June 30, 2016; 2015-2017 REV (production dates not available); and 2016-2017 Isata (production dates not available). The flexible PVC shower doors may not adequately resist catching fire in the presence of an ignition source. Forest River dealers will replace the shower doors with doors made with fire retardant. The recall was expected to begin September 16, 2016. Jayco Inc.
Recall 16V-561 involves certain model-year 2016-2017 Alante and Precept motorhomes manufactured from October 13, 2014, to June 23, 2016. The driver seat may loosen and detach from the seat base as a result of the seat having been swiveled around. Jayco dealers will install a jam nut on top of the seat base nut. Tiffin Motorhomes Inc.
Recall 16V-638 involves certain model-year 2017 Allegro Bus motorhomes manufactured from April 12, 2016, to June 21, 2016. As a result of insufficient holding power of the mirror arm swivel mechanism, the passenger-side mirror could move while the vehicle is in motion. Tiffin will notify owners, and dealers will install a retrofit kit to secure the passenger-side mirror swivel arm mechanism. A notification schedule had not been set at press time. Triple E Recreational Vehicles
Recall 16V-533 involves certain model-year 2016-2017 Unity motorhomes, models U24TB and U24IB, manufactured from March 1, 2016, to June 9, 2016. The Truma propane water heater line may be damaged from items moving within the lower storage compartment, causing the line to rupture and to allow propane gas to leak. Triple E dealers will reposition the protective cleat for the propane gas line. The recall began August 15, 2016. Contact Triple E at (877) 992-9906.
Recall 16V-627 involves certain model-year 2016 Unity motorhomes, model U24X, manufactured from October 15, 2015, to June 16, 2016. A showerhead can be lowered into the shower pan or sink basin; in the event of a backup of waste water, a submerged showerhead may siphon the waste water, possibly contaminating the fresh-water supply. Triple E will notify owners, and dealers will install a guide ring to prevent the showerhead from lowering into the shower pan or sink basin. The recall was expected to begin in September 2016. Winnebago Industries Inc.
Recall 16V-598 involves certain model-year 2015-2017 Itasca Cambria; 2015-2017 Itasca Sunstar; and 2015-2017 Winnebago Aspect, Era, Fuse, Travato, and Vista motorhomes manufactured from May 6, 2014, to April 22, 2016. A power cord connection to the automatic transfer switch may not be properly tightened, increasing the risk of a fire.
