Recall 17V-384 involves certain model-year 2012-2015 Cornerstone motorhomes built on Spartan Motors chassis and manufactured from April 14, 2011, to May 6, 2014. A component within the starter motor may break, potentially resulting in the starter motor overheating or drawing excessive current. Recall 17V-396 involves certain model-year 2014-2015 Coachmen RV Encounter and 2014-2018 Coachmen RV Mirada Select motorhomes equipped with the residential refrigerator option instead of the standard refrigerator. The unused, but powered, wiring for the standard refrigerator was left with exposed wire ends. If the energized positive and negative wires make contact, the wires may short circuit and possibly melt, increasing the risk of a fire. Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will disconnect the positive and negative wires from the battery. The recall was expected to begin August 21, 2017. Recall 17V-378 involves certain model-year 2012-2015 King Aire and Essex motorhomes built on Spartan Motors chassis and manufactured from January 27, 2011, to June 23, 2014. A component within the starter motor may break, potentially resulting in the starter motor overheating or drawing excessive current. Recall 17V-392 involves certain model-year 2017 Lexor TS motorhomes manufactured from September 1, 2016, to June 19, 2017. A mirror attached to the back of the closet door may detach unexpectedly. Pleasure Way will notify owners, and dealers will attach the mirror with clips instead of adhesive only. Contact Pleasure Way at (800) 364-0189.
Recall 17V-362 involves certain model-year 2017 Challenger 37YT motorhomes manufactured from April 25, 2016, to May 15, 2017. The exhaust pipe for the onboard gasoline-powered generator may be incorrectly installed or missing completely. Thor Motor Coach will notify owners, and dealers will inspect motorhomes for proper generator exhaust installation and routing, replacing or reinstalling the exhaust as necessary. Recall 17V-381 involves certain model-year 2018 Outlaw 29H motorhomes manufactured from March 14, 2017, to June 1, 2017. A 15-amp fuse was installed for the awning light instead of the specified 2-amp fuse. If the awning light short-circuits, an incorrect fuse may increase the risk of a fire. Recall 17V-383 involves certain model-year 2016-2017 Wonder motorhomes, model W24MB, manufactured from December 29, 2015, to March 20, 2017. The frame extension adapter may be missing some supplemental attaching bolts. If the motorhome’s towing capacity is reached or exceeded, the vehicle frame and/or frame extension structure may distort during towing, affecting vehicle control and increasing the risk of a crash.
