Cruiser RV To Introduce New Travel Trailer
Cruiser RV announced plans in 2020 to unveil the Hitch, an ultralight travel trailer “equipped with unique features for today’s adventurous camper,” according to a release from the company.
Four floor plans are available. Models range from approximately 18 feet to 22 feet long, with weights from 3,500 to 4,000 pounds. The travel trailer is built using an all-aluminum superstructure, Azdel composite walls, and plywood floors. Features include European two-toned designer cabinetry, 15-inch tires, and torsion axles. Among the amenities are a solar package, Wi-Fi, stainless-steel appliances, and full-size beds.

Working From Home — On Wheels
A Stanford University study found that 42 percent of U.S. employees worked from home in 2020 and accounted for more than two-thirds of U.S. economic activity.
Tropical Palms RV Resort, in Kissimmee, is close to central Florida theme parks.
With working remotely gaining favor as a result of the forced experiment brought on by the pandemic, many have realized that working from “home” could mean a home on wheels. That includes Encore RV Resorts, which began promoting its Sunbelt locations as an alternative to the basement office or dining room table workstation. It added new Wi-Fi at many of its resorts, and boasts pet-friendly environments, including several resorts with dog parks and pet stations.
Encore’s Monte Vista RV Resort in Mesa, Arizona, an 80-acre facility outside of Phoenix, added 230 new RV sites last year, bringing its total to 947 sites. It is close to office supply and retail shipping stores.
The company also has two resorts in Florida: 69-acre Tropical Palms RV Resort in Kissimmee, four miles from Walt Disney World, and Pioneer Village RV Resort in North Fort Myers, which has 505 RV sites.
In Texas’ Rio Grande Valley, Encore operates Fun-N-Sun RV Resort in San Benito and Tropic Winds RV Resort in Harlingen. Guests who stay at least one month at Tropic Winds receive their own cable TV modem and free Wi-Fi.

National Trails System Expands
The National Trails System grew by more than 1,275 miles late last year when the U.S. Department of the Interior announced 30 new national recreation trails in 25 states. This comes after it added 370 miles of new trails in 2018.
The Mohave National Water Trail, within Lake Mead National Recreation Area, offers picturesque views of southern Nevada and northern Arizona.
The new trails range from a .3-mile boardwalk trail through the hardwood-forested foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in Alabama’s Cheaha State Park to the 95-mile Flint Hills State Park Trail in Kansas, which becomes the seventh longest rail trail in the nation. The latter rolls through river bluffs, riparian zones, agricultural fields, and the last remaining remnant of the tall grass prairie.
Numerous water trails are on the list as well, including 76 miles of the Colorado River within the Lake Mead National Recreation Area. The newly designated Mohave National Water Trail begins where the previously designated Black Canyon National Water Trail ends, providing water recreation opportunities for 106 miles along the Colorado River.
The trails include an abundance of scenic, historic, and recreation sites, and are designed to enhanced recreational opportunities for hikers and all types of trail users.
The National Recreation Trails program is jointly administered by the National Park Service and the U.S. Forest Service, in conjunction with a number of federal and nonprofit partners.
