Allied Recreation Group Inc. has announced two recalls.
The first is NHTSA recall 15V-434, which involves certain model-year 2015-2016 Fleetwood Southwind 32 VS motorhomes manufactured from April 16, 2014, to June 19, 2015. The potential number of affected units is 32. ARG’s identification for this recall is 150625ARG.
The affected vehicles may have been manufactured without an emergency exit window on the street-side bedroom wall. That could delay or prevent an occupant’s exit from the vehicle during an emergency, increasing the risk of injury.
ARG has notified owners. Dealers will inspect the vehicles and, if necessary, replace the existing street-side bedroom wall window with an emergency exit window. Repair time is estimated to be less than two hours; however, additional time may be needed to allow for service scheduling.
The second is NHTSA recall 15V-454, which involves certain model-year 2016 Fleetwood Flair, Storm, Terra SE, Jamboree Sport, Tioga Montara, Tioga Ranger; Holiday Rambler Admiral; and Monaco Trek motorhomes. The potential number of affected vehicles is 92. ARG’s identification for this recall is 150708ARG.
The affected units may have been manufactured with a vertical propane tank regulator instead of the required horizontal propane tank regulator. Use of the incorrect regulator can allow moisture to build up in the regulator, possibly resulting in improper operation. A regulator that fails to operate properly can cause a propane gas leak, increasing the risk of a fire.
ARG has notified owners, and dealers will inspect motorhomes and replace the regulator, if needed. The recalls were expected to begin in August 2015. Repair time is estimated to be less than one hour; however, additional time may be needed to allow for service scheduling.

BFGoodrich Tires has announced NHTSA recall 15T-016, which involves approximately 129,000 tires primarily found on commercial light trucks, full-sized heavy-duty vans, small RVs, and some 3/4-ton and 1-ton pickup trucks. Approximately 104,000 of the tires were sold in the United States.
Under severe usage conditions, some of the tires have experienced a rapid loss of air pressure as a result of a rupture of the sidewall in the bead area. This can result in a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.
The recall involves certain BFGoodrich Commercial T/A All-Season, BFGoodrich Commercial T/A All-Season 2, and BFGoodrich Rugged Terrain T/A tires. For information about the eight tire sizes that are affected, visit www.bfgoodrichtires.com/safety-recall.page or contact BFGoodrich Consumer Care at (866) 524-2638 (U.S.) or (866) 424-2638 (Canada). BFGoodrich recommends that consumers visit a BFGoodrich dealer as soon as possible so the tires can be removed and replaced.
Entegra Coach has announced NHTSA recall 15V-429, which involves certain model-year 2015 Cornerstone 45B, 45J, and 45K motorhomes manufactured from February 24, 2014, to March 19, 2015, and built on Spartan chassis. The potential number of affected units is 139.
In the affected vehicles, rear jack plates may rub on the tag axle brake air hose when the plates are retracted. If the rear jack plates rub on the air brake hose, an air leak may occur when the brake pedal is being pressed, reducing the braking performance of both the drive axle and the tag axle, lengthening the distance needed to stop the motorhome, and increasing the risk of a crash.
Entegra will notify owners on behalf of Spartan. The tag axle brake air hose will be repositioned so that it is clear of the jack plate. The recall was expected to begin in July 2015. For more information, contact Spartan Motors customer service at (855) 589-9836.
Newmar Corporation has announced NHTSA recall 15V-411, which involves certain model-year 2015-2016 King Aire and Essex motorhomes manufactured from March 13, 2014, to May 13, 2015, and certain model-year 2016 Mountain Aire motorhomes manufactured from March 17, 2015, to April 17, 2015. The potential number of affected vehicles is 96.
In the affected vehicles, which were built on Spartan chassis, fasteners that attach the stay rod (v-rod) to the rear drive axle may not have been installed with threadlocker (a thread-locking fluid) or tightened in the correct sequence. If the fasteners loosen, the stay rod may disconnect from the rear axle, allowing that axle to move freely and increasing the risk of a crash.
The recall began in July 2015.
Spartan will notify owners on behalf of Newmar. Fasteners will be replaced using threadlocker, and fasteners will be tightened in the proper sequence and with the required torque values. For more information, contact Spartan Motors customer service at (855) 589-9836.
Roadtrek Motorhomes Inc. has announced NHTSA recall 15V-404, which involves certain model-year 2014 CS Adventurous, E-trek, RS Adventurous, SS Agile, and TS Adventurous motorhomes manufactured from September 18, 2013, to April 9, 2015, and built on Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis. The potential number of affected vehicles is 335.
In the affected units, electrical wiring connections under the front seats can become dislodged or damaged and prevent the optional front-seat SH9 Thorax air bags from deploying. If an air bag fails to deploy during a crash, the seat occupant has an increased risk of injury.
Roadtrek will notify owners, and dealers will modify the electrical connections. For more information, contact Roadtrek customer service at (888) 762-3873.
