Privacy Curtain
My husband and I like to take in the view when we’re parked at campgrounds, but if the front wraparound curtains of our Winnebago are closed, we may miss a sunrise or sunset. So, I made a curtain that offers privacy with a view.
Screw holes on either end of the windshield were perfect for anchoring a dowel rod. I measured the distance between the holes, bought a dowel rod slightly longer than that, and then cut the rod so it fit perfectly in the holes. I placed rubber caps on each end for a secure fit. The rod flexes a little and pops in. I then measured from the rod to the dash and made curtains that have a rod sleeve. The curtains have five panels for a nice, full look.
A space above the curtains allows us to see in front of the motorhome and lets light in, but we still have privacy. When traveling, we place the rod and curtains on our bed.

Editor’s note: An expandable shower rod could be used instead of the dowel rod.
Stemware Storage
As we travel in our motorhome, here’s how we prevent stemware and similar items from breaking. We purchased a piece of Styrofoam insulation from a home-improvement store. We cut a piece to fit each area of our china closet, and we marked circles where each item would be stored. Then we used a knife or hole saw to cut out each hole, and we placed everything back in the closet. This is our third motorhome, and our glassware has never been damaged.
