Heated Insoles
Winter camping can be invigorating, but when it’s cold enough to make your toes shiver, it’s time to take action. Thermacell Heated Insoles use wireless thermal technology to keep feet warm. They are available in five sizes and can be trimmed to fit most women’s and men’s boots and outdoor shoes.
The insoles’ built-in thermostat has two heat settings — 100 degrees Fahrenheit and 111 degrees Fahrenheit — and is controlled by a wireless remote control. Or you can choose no heat. The rechargeable insoles are said to be good for 500 uses, with consistent temperature maintained for up to five hours per charge. It takes less than four hours for the lithium-ion polymer battery to charge, and a charger is included. The cost of Thermacell Heated Insoles is $130.

Collapsible Table
You might put an offer on the table, set the table, clear the table, or lay your cards on the table. The point is, a table comes in handy. And like all RVers, you want one that doesn’t take up much space when it’s not in use.
The Collapsible Coffee Table from Trusty Products is not fancy, but it is quite functional, and it can be set up indoors or out. It is made of medium-density fiberboard and is available in a cherry or golden oak finish. When in use, the 16-inch-by-32-inch oval table stands 18 inches tall. When collapsed, it is 5 inches wide. It weighs 21 pounds. The price is $115.95.

Laptop Stand
Your motorhome may not have a desk, but that doesn’t mean your laptop has to perch precariously on your knees. It can rest on Bradd and Hall’s Computer Caddy, available in a choice of hardwoods: honey oak, natural cherry, or dark cherry. An Amish finishing company applies the final stain and finish sealer.
The caddy top swivels 360 degrees and can be tightened with a knob. Other features include an adjustable viewing angle and height; storage space for a laptop or tablet, as well as a mouse; and a powder-coat steel frame. It comes apart for travel. The suggested retail price is $179.

Decorative Glass
Decorative glass in a motorhome can be beautiful and eye-catching. But as the folks at RV DecoGlass point out, decorative glass also can be practical, helping to solve problems involving privacy, glare, light distortion, or the need to obscure unsightly views.
New to the RV market, RV DecoGlass is a subsidiary of Designer Glass Solutions, which has been making glass for the residential and commercial markets for 15 years. The company’s standard-design RV door glass insert is made of tempered safety glass and is 15 3/4 inches wide by 24 3/4 inches high. The frame is not included, but new frames can be ordered and shipped with the glass for easier installation. The price for standard inserts ranges from $199 to $220. For custom designs, customers provide a template of their glass and glass thickness; prices start at $330.

Showerhead
A disappointing shower is no way to start or end your day. If water pressure is the problem, the solution might be a new showerhead, such as the Fury RV Handheld from Oxygenics.
The Fury RV Handheld’s maximum flow rate is two gallons per minute. The pressure can be adjusted using a comfort control lever. While you’re lathering up, the flow can be brought to a trickle to conserve water. When you’re ready for a big splash, five spray settings are available. Other features include a 72-inch hose, rubber finger grips, and nonstick internal parts that help prevent clogging or corrosion. The Fury RV Handheld comes in a brushed metal for a suggested price of $54.95; with a white finish, the price is $43.95.

Windshield Shade
When you want to be cool, you wear shades, right? When you want your motorhome to be cool — not just in the fashionably attractive sense, but also in terms of a lower indoor temperature — it can wear a shade, too. The Magne Shade, from Hunckler Fabrication, is said to block more than 90 percent of harmful UV rays and heat from the sun.
The shade can be installed on any RV in less than a minute, and there’s no need for a ladder or permanent hardware. Magnets mounted inside the windshield stick to corresponding magnets sewn into reinforced pockets on the shade. Each shade is custom fitted to the year, make, and model of motorhome. More than 2,500 patterns are available. Shade packages — which include the shade, installation magnets, wiper covers, and a telescoping rod — start at $395 for Type C motorhomes and $516 for Type A coaches.

Cleaning Cloth
Don’t you hate it when you spray a cleaning product on glass or a mirror, wipe with a paper towel or cloth, and, dadgum it, the streaks or lint look worse than before you started? The Kaywos Cloth, on the other hand, is designed to “Klean Anything WithOut Streaks.”
The instructions say to dampen the Kaywos Cloth with water and then use it to wipe any nonporous surface, including glass, stainless steel, granite, chrome, tile, or plastic. The cloth is made with a superfine, nonwoven microfiber that is said to pick up dirt on a microscopic level, leaving the surface to dry on its own, streak-free. The cost for one machine-washable cloth, which measures 15 inches by 16 inches, is $6. A discount applies to orders of more than one.

Surge Protector
When you’re on the road, the uncertainties of any given campground’s power supply mean that it’s important to safeguard your motorhome’s power systems. That’s the aim of two new portable Smart Surge Protectors from Progressive Industries.
The 120-volt, 30-amp SSP-30XL and the 120-volt/240-volt, 50-amp SSP-50XL are UL listed and CSA certified. The SSP-30XL has a 22,500-amp surge current rating; the rating of the SSP-50XL is 45,000 amps. Features include front and back housings, a cover mount, and a nut made of Lexan; bright three-color LED indicators; an all-weather shield assembly; a cable splash-up guard; and an improved locking bracket. The suggested retail price is $116.65 for the SSP-30XL; $151.85 for the SSP-50XL.
