Hello, My Fellow FMCA Family. Gloria and I recently spent time at Happy Trails Resort in Surprise, Arizona, catching our breath and getting plenty of rest. We accomplished both and feel much better. We were there for a wonderful four weeks, during which time the temperature averaged about 70 degrees each day.

Subaru Flat-Towing Comes Into QuestionFamily Motor Coaching magazine has published its annual Towables Guide since 1999, and each year, the list of vehicles that can be towed four wheels down behind a motorhome has included various Subaru models that are equipped with a manual transmission. …Recently, FMC heard from several FMCA members who were told by Subaru employees that Subarus should not be flat towed behind a motorhome.RVers can hit the trail with backpacking gear that lessens the load.

Cable ConfusionDear RV Doctor:More than a year ago, we purchased a 2006 Fleetwood Excursion. It had battery issues when we bought it, but everything worked. However, we’re not sure where one red cable should be connected on the house battery terminals.Thermostat AccessI have a 1999 Newmar Mountain Aire with dual roof air conditioners. My LCD thermostat is over the door, which makes it hard to reach and to see. I have to shine a flashlight on the display as I change settings on the controller, and I must push two buttons simultaneously to change zones.Introduced 30 years ago by Fleetwood founder John Crean, this Type A gasoline motorhome changed the RV landscape and continues to be popular among RV owners.
Members of FMCA’s Amateur Radio chapter found much to see and do in Livingston Parish, Louisiana, during the chapter’s 2015 fall rally. It was held November 5-9, 2015, at Lakeside RV Park, just south of the town of Livingston, the parish seat. Members in 18 coaches attended.
When a chapter convenes its 20th anniversary rally just before Thanksgiving, members have more than one reason to celebrate. Such was the case when members of the Gulf Coast Pelicans chapter gathered from November 19-22, 2015, at Upriver RV Resort in North Fort Myers, Florida.Members of the Converted Coach chapter got an early start to the group’s 40th anniversary celebration by donning their anniversary T-shirts and posing for a photo during a July 23-26, 2015, rally.Fastening Device
