  • A Small Rig Living Large

The motorhome was parked next to a dumpster, which seemed fitting for the tired old relic of the past. It wasn’t the weathered, rotted awning silhouetted against the dark sky that caught our imagination. It wasn’t the flat tire, or the greasy odor, or the critters that made their home in the wheel wells. It wasn’t the faded, peeling paint or the rusted, dented hubcaps that captivated us.

It often happens this way: Children go camping with family and friends, and the experience instills in them a love of nature hikes, cookouts, campfires, stargazing, and so much more. When those kids become adults, they want to continue camping, but amid more creature comforts. So, they consider buying a motorhome.

RV refrigerators equipped with an ice maker have one vulnerable water line — the line that runs from the water solenoid valve up the back of the refrigerator to the ice maker’s fill-tube connection.
